Dogs may stink for a variety of reasons. General
cleanliness is one cause; the dog may simply
need a bath. Certain illnesses and parasites
can also cause a stink, your veterinarian can
tell you more. A poor quality food can be difficult
to digest and cause gas, but sometimes a dog
simply stinks like a dog. What can you do?
We use and recommend a supplement of liquid
chlorophyll. Liquid chlorophyll neutralizes
body odors, aids in digestion, and is good for
your dog’s heart. It naturally neutralizes
stink from breath, odors that originate from
the body or skin, and decreases the smell of
dog poop. Chlorophyll is a naturally occurring
substance that has been used in deodorants for
people with allergies for years.
You may be able to find liquid chlorophyll
at a local health food store, but generally
the savings online are enough to cover shipping
costs. We use and recommend the following brand.
A 32oz bottle generally lasts us 6-8 weeks,
but the smaller bottle would be last long enough
for you to know if it was helping decrease you
dog’s stink.
