Not only does taking an obedience class with
your dog help socialize your dog to new places, other dogs, and meeting
people, Obedience training also seems to strengthen your relationship
with your dog and training really, really builds confidence. Annie's
been through a few obedience classes and I'm not sure I'll ever stop
taking her to class- I just get a better, more confident, easier to
live with dog every time. Confidence is a HUGE part of socialization,
so if you can have a confidant, obedient dog that's 80% of the battle.
