What size collar is needed
for a
Shitzu?
Most Shitzus need a 10-14" collar, but you'll need to measure to make
sure. All of our collars are custom made to the size you enter for your
dog during check out (with a few inches of adjustment) this is and
especially helpful feature for small dogs- for whom a collar adjusted
to it's smallest diameter can be bulky and uncomfortable. (please let
us know if you are buying for a puppy and we will allow room for growth
if requested)
Martingale Collars: Some Shitzus figure out that if they pull backwards
out of a collar when attached to a leash that the collar will slip over
their head and off- leaving them loose without a collar or
identification tags. For these dogs we recommend our small martingale collars-
available in the same patterns described above. By the way, the correct
spelling of Shitzu is Shih Tzu. Browse through pictures of the many
