Martingale Collars as Poodle Collars
Poodles have a unique head shape. Because of the size of the Poodle's neck
in relation to the Poodle's head shape, some Poodles are
able to slip out of a collar when they pull away from
a leash. For these dogs, a martingale Poodle collar is
recommended.
What size of training collar is best for a Poodle?
Most toy poodles need a 8-14" collar, minature poodles measure for a 10-16" collar, and standard poodles average a 12-18" neck. Please measure your dog for the best fit. See selection of other size collars if neccessary.
Are fabric collars strong enough for a Standard Poodle?
If properly fitted, absolutely. Our fabric collars are quadruple reinforced and triple stitched. Large and Extra Large collars also have a core of even stronger webbing. If strength still concerns you, order 1.5" wide collars or choose all-metal side release buckles.
Why are fabric collars great for Poodles?
Many Poodles are prone to skin problems or skin irritations.
