you forgot something? Carrying a small toolbox
of items you are likely to forget or that you
might need in a dog or person emergency could
save you or a dogs life. Here is a list of some
basic items that should be included in your kit:
Disposable toothbrush "brush ups"
wet ones towlettes
kennel lead (use as a leash or makeshift muzzle)
control loop leash (a 6 inch long leash for
dog-aggressive dogs)
business cards/personal info cards
extra ID tags for you and/or the rescue group
you work with

human nail clippers/cheap swiss army knife
pen/pencil/magic marker
box cutter with long retractable blade
benadryl (dog and human variety)
asprin/advil/upset stomach medication (for humans)
duct tape
dog brush/comb
scissors
baby powder
travel sized deodorant
safety pins
lotion
4-6 zip baggies and/or poop bags
tiny sewing kit
ponytail bands
list of emergency contact numbers (vet, doggie
poison control, rescue contacts, animal control,
etc)
bandana (for hair, dog kerchief, muzzle, bandage,
etc)
collapsible water bowl
1 meal of dry kibble in double zip-loc
flashlight
paper towels
screwdriver
safety vest - orange, mesh, 3M reflective strips
leather gloves
solar blanket
whistle
disposable camera with flash
